_________________________________________________________________________________________ Your Career We currently have an opening in our Northport, Alabama office for a highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic to join our finance team in the role of Accounting Clerk.
As our ideal candidate you will be focused on accuracy and attention to detail with a well-organized, professional, and proactive approach to your work.
This role is instrumental in supporting the finance functions of this location.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual to work with the local operations and within the larger finance team to improve processes and to grow within a company.
This is an entry level position with an hourly pay structure.
Your Impact The Accounting Clerk is responsible for:
Involvement in all aspects of the local accounting functions including cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory and payroll Processing customer credit applications Completing invoicing for the local facility Regular follow up collection of accounts receivable and the subsequent cash application Management of accounts payable for the facility and working with procurement Processing monthly journal entries and inventory adjustments Assisting with month-end close process and reporting tasks as required Supporting year-end compliance reviews and audits Perform additional tasks as required by the needs of the company Your Experience Minimum 2 years of accounting clerk experience Proficient working with accounting systems Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Demonstrated ability to work with others in a fast-paced environment Strong time management skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated ability to work with MS Office Suite of products with an intermediate level in Excel This Job is for You if You are looking to work in a non-corporate family environment, where your efforts are rewarded and appreciated across the company.
