Funeral Director and EmbalmerAutomation Personnel Services is looking for a hard-working Funeral Director and Embalmer for a company based in Northport, AL.
In this role, you will primarily be responsible for overseeing, directing, and coordinating all aspects of funeral services including body preparation, visitation, services, burials, and cremations, while providing caring support and advice to families and friends of the deceased.
Pay Rate $22.
00 - $25.
00 per hourSchedule and Hours Hours and shifts varyFuneral Director and Embalmer Duties and Responsibilities o Oversee the job performance and schedules of funeral attendants and apprenticeso Coordinate arrangement for the funeral that are respectful, professional, timely, and sensitiveo Address and explain the costs of the funeral with family, options for disposition of the remains, and unsure the statement of goods is completed accuratelyo Ensure paperwork is filed in a timely and orderly manner, consult with the family to obtain accurate and necessary information for completiono Become familiar with General Price List, Casket Price List, and general merchandisingo Order monuments, markers, and any special requests of the familyo Provide instructions to the funeral attendants regarding the arrangements of services and any special instructionso Update prep room case log and clean prep room after each embalmingo Schedule arrangements with crematories, cemeteries, and other third partieso Process insurance claims if needed Funeral Director and Embalmer Qualifications and Requirements o At lease two years of college or vocational school required with coursework in mortuary scienceo Funeral Director or Embalmer license according to state requirementso Two or more years of funeral home experience required o Ability to manage distressing and stressful situations with sensitivity and careo Thorough understanding of laws related to funerals and funeral arrangemento Ability to perform mortuary serviceso Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related softwareo Detail oriented and excellent organizational skills Job Type Full time, temp to hireBenefits o Weekly Payo 401(k) retirement plano Medical, dental, and vision insuranceo Vacation Payo Holiday PayInterested in this job?Click Apply Now, email your resume to apsTuscaloosa@apstemps.
